Fluid
Fluid is a GPU-accelerated 2D fluid simulation plugin for After Effects. Built on real Navier-Stokes physics, it turns any layer into a fluid emitter with collider interaction, dual-stream color blending, and cinematic post-processing — all real-time*, directly in the timeline. Available on Windows and macOS.
Keyframe the Source Point and Fluid automatically reads its motion, converting it into emission velocity for natural path-following trails. Tail Length, Velocity Dissipation, Front Bombe, and Wake Width dynamically react to the movement, producing stronger bursts and wider trails as the source speeds up.
CREATE WITH FLUID
With Fluid, you can create stunning logo reveals, text openers, and motion graphics. Multiple fluid layers can be stacked with different color modes, smooth hue transitions can be blended for harmonious color shifts, and fast, expressive results can be crafted, all GPU-accelerated and fully native to After Effects.
DETAIL LEVELS
Choose between Standard, High, Ultra, and Extreme quality. Higher settings produce sharper detail and more refined motion, while lower settings keep previews fast and responsive.
KEY FEATURES
GPU-accelerated real-time Navier-Stokes simulation — runs live in the After Effects timeline, no pre-rendering or external pipeline required
Any layer becomes a fluid emitter — use logos, text, or graphics as fluid sources (logo reveal, text dissolve workflows)
Second independent emitter — create dual-stream collisions with per-source color control
Collider layer support — any alpha-based layer blocks the flow, with Bounce and Friction (Navier slip)
Mask path → Source Point keyframes — paste any mask path as keyframes for organic, curved flow animations
5 color modes — Original, Color, Dual Color, Random Color, Gradient — with per-source palettes
Full physics controls — Gravity, Wind X/Y, Buoyancy, Vorticity, Swirl, Viscosity
Procedural turbulence — 3-octave fBm noise plus Wiggle for natural motion variety
Post-processing — pseudo-volumetric Shading and Bloom with threshold control
4 quality levels — Standard, High, Ultra, Extreme — design fast, render sharp
Resolution-independent simulation — physics identical across all composition sizes
