SmartREKT is an After Effects script that takes the Rectangle Tool and sends it into BEAST MODE.
The default Rectangle Tool in Adobe After Effects creates a shape layer that only sizes from the center of the shape, which, as you may already know, can be extremely frustrating.
SmartREKT gives more size options by sizing the rectangular shape layer from different pivot points. You can quickly reposition the anchor point to anywhere on the layer, control margins, and much more.
You can apply it to multiple layers at a time (and not just text elements). It also creates a responsive/modular rectangular shape layer based on the size and the anchor point position of the selected layers.
